A New Child coming

The little girl that you see in the photo is 2 years old. She has Spina Bifida and desperately needs surgery and help. When I return from the U.S., God willing, she will be coming to my home. Pray for her in these next several months. Also pray for a good surgeon, that her parents will agree to the surgery, and that all will go well as it is a very dangerous surgery. Pray the parents won't change their mind and let me help her.

YOU ARE INVITED

I'm inviting any of you who are interested in learning more about orphans and foster care programs. I attended a summit a few years back and was totally blessed by it. Not only did I learn more of a global perspective but I also networked with a lot of great people. I will be there and would love to have you join. If you need more information or to register, check out the website:

#2 More Birthday Photos

Tarun Turns Ten!

Here are a few more photos from Tarun's 10th Birthday party. Enjoy!

Book Referal

I've passed by the following book several times and never purchased it. I think I even remember picking it up and reading a few pages but at the time it didn't grab me. When I was on John Piper's website recently, he had referred it so I finally read it. It's very, very good and very difficult to put down once your start reading it. I pray it touches your heart.

Children updates

Abison just completed exams and passed to 6th standard (6th grade). We all are very happy. His study habits have improved greatly over the last several months and he has made tremendous improvements since the beginning of last year.
Tarun, who just turned 10 is in the middle of his exams. He doesn't mind doing general homework but extra study for exams is not his cup of tea! Why waste valuable play time studying?? His tantrums have lessened and he seems to be maturing more and more.
Mariam continues to chatter more and is happy about 99% of the time. Even though she is eating well there is still a little problem with her gaining weight.
Shubham has good and bad days. He has gone through a spell of not wanting to eat much. Then he goes through a quiet spell. Right now he is going through a loud spell and loves to come up and just smack me on the arm or back! Sometimes I like the quiet spells! smile

Updates

I will be traveling back to the U.S. at the end of April. I am praying for opportunities to share about the work here. I will also be meeting a doctor and his wife who might be interested in supporting the project here. So far with the new budget and new program we still have only received half of that new budget. We are still taking things day by day praying that we will not have to close the program.
