Goat Project

One of the smaller projects we've been working on the side is the goat project. The objective is to build up some goats and then give pregnant females to poor villagers to give milk to their children or for income. We started 2 years ago with two 4 day old goats. Brother and sister, Tony and Angel whose mother had died were bottle feed back to health. Last year Angel had her first baby, Esther. This year, on 5 January, Angel had her second delivery and this was twins - Boaz & Ruth. Ruth is the first goat that will be given to a poor villager. Also, Esther is pregnant and will deliver in about 3 months. We are hoping for another female. Pictured are Boaz & Ruth at 18 hours old, and our first person from the village who will receive Ruth when she is old enough.

Changes

In the very beginning of the blog site I mentioned the things I was involved in with photos. The new project that started 2 years ago has just recently lost it's funding as of today. The project was an intervention center for 14 children that came 5 days a week to learn life skills, social skills, academics, games, exercise, music, art, and how to have fun. I don't know what we will do now without the major funding but will try somehow to keep a couple of staff so that we can give some type of services for the children. A physiotherapist has also agreed to work for 1/2 the pay so that children with get physical therapy. We appreciate your prayers in the coming days...
